About COA

At the heart of Zimbabwe, the Chenga Ose Association (COA) stands strong, echoing its name which translates to ‘all considered’. Rooted in Christian principles, COA has been a beacon of hope since 2008 for individuals with disabilities and their families. With our presence spanning five provinces, we touch the lives of over three hundred unique individuals, advocating for their rights and enhancing their quality of life.

Our Founders

Lucia Mambure: Empowering Women and Children Through Education and Advocacy

Lucia Mambure, Director of Chenga Ose Association, champions the rights of women with challenged children in Zimbabwe. A lecturer, Co-Pastor, and author, her journey began with her own child's disability.

Davis Mambure: A Pillar of Faith and Community Leadership

Davis Mambure, Senior Pastor at True Word Church International, spearheads Ministry Development for Zimbabwe's expansive Evangelical Fellowship. An educator in Theology, he's also pivotal in COA's church outreach.

Support Groups

COA has over three hundred members/caregivers in five provinces. It is through the support groups that caregivers discuss the nature of their children’s disabilities and challenges they face in trying to cope with responsibilities of parenting and that of functioning in the society. Armed with real issues affecting these women, the organization advocates for learning opportunities, job creation and better living conditions of the caregivers and the disabled. It serves as a resource platform for various issues concerning developmental disabilities.
